Hi, I'm Rabbi Greg (he/him).
My passion is to serve the Jewish people, as well as their families and allies in the San Francisco Bay Area. In order for me to best serve you, I’d like to talk to you so I can better understand what you need.
If you are not part of the synagogue world, and/or do not identify with one of the movements, I’d love to talk with you. Maybe you consider yourself a spiritual but not religious Jew, Jew-ish, just Jewish, Jewish adjacent or Jewish curious. Whoever you are, I’d love to talk with you.
If you are a member of a synagogue and want a second opinion, or want to connect me with a friend outside of the synagogue world, I’d love to hear from you.

What might we talk about in a get to know you meeting?
It depends on what interests you, but more than anything, I’d like to get to know you. We’ll probably cover where you are living, your life situation, your challenges and your sources of joy. I’d also like to hear about your interests and your journey as it relates to Jewishness.
One of my favorite characters in the Passover Seder is the child who does not know what to ask. We all have that part of us that wants a conversation but doesn’t know where to start. You don’t even need to have a specific question. I have no agenda about what your Jewishness should be.
Some possible questions may include:
- Can we explore a fit for a life cycle event like a wedding or baby welcoming?
- Am I Jewish enough? (A subset of the question Am I enough?)
- What happens after death from a Jewish perspective?
- How do I find meaning in my life?
- How do I cope with parenting my kids and taking care of my sick parent who lives on the other side of the country?
- How do I convert to Judaism?
- What should I do if I am the only one in the family who cares about doing Jewish things?
- Why do I feel more connected to my Jewishness after October 7th?
- Israel…
